Stacy Davis-Stanford

 In the this Communications 1010 class I honestly learned more than I expected too! I tend to be cynical toward a lot of the Gen Ed classes and their application to my major and career. However, I found that the study of communications is actually very relevant to Social Work. I have learned skills that will help in areas with a clinical focus, like private practice, as well as areas with a more political focus, like social advocacy. Practicing applicable skills like interviewing, speaking, and working on group projects made this class incredibly worthwhile. The writing assignments and discussion exercises also provided good preparation for transition into 4 year university and onto my career.
